“Vietnamese dishes involving fish is rather uncommon in Vietnamese restaurants in Singapore; the Cao Fish Rice Noodles was a dish that certainly intrigued us. Turns out, the dish was served in soup form; the fish exists in the form of small “fish cakes” while also with tomatoes and pineapples with bean sprouts, coriander and lime being served at the side. The soup was light and refreshing — a little tangy with a hint of fish sauce; almost like a lighter, less punchy version of a clear Tom Yum soup.”
